The Funky Monkey Half Marathon and The Aunt Lois 5K. he half marathon and the 5k courses stay right on the base. Both courses are flat and fast. Thr marathon portion of the event will take you through the base and then off the base via the Quonset Point bike path. After leaving the base, you will run through a neighborhood and make your way through a few rolling hills until you come to a turn around point and start heading back. You will make your way back onto a different portion of the bike path where it will take you back onto the base. From that point on, the last 7 miles are pretty flat to the finish line. While you are running the half and the full, you will catch glimpses of the ocean and some beautiful views.
The course is certified by the USATF.
The race will be chipped timed.
All online registrants will receive a t- shirt and a finishers medal.
There will be a 4 hour time limit for the half marathon.
There will be 7 water station on the half course and 3 Gatorade stations. I water stop on the 5k
